What do Learning Support Teachers do?
The Learning Support Teachers (LST) at Essex District High School work with all students in the building who have an Individual Education Plan (IEP). As part of the student success team, the LST ensures that all students are being supported within their classrooms and that accommodations are put in place to help students reach their academic goals.
The LST is available for support on assignments, tests, quizzes, homework, or any other areas they may be struggling with. The learning support classroom is a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment for all students here at Essex District High School.

How can I access LST?
Students in the school who are struggling in one or more of their classes are encouraged to speak to the LST in room 149. Supports will be discussed and implemented to help the students in their classes. Students can ask their teachers to make an appointment with the LST teacher.
