Teacher Centre Questions:
I've never used any of that equipment before, is there someone there to assist me?
Yes, there is staff on hand to show you around and assist you when needed.

How much is it to use the Xerox?
Visitors to the Essex Media Centre have access to a full colour Xerox copier.

How do I book the Essex Media Centre's Meeting Room vs County of Essex meeting room?
To book the meeting room located in the lower level attached to the Media Centre, email Sara Weaver.
To book the Civic Centre meeting rooms please email [email protected].
Electronic Repair Centre:
My students laptop does not work, how do I get it fixed?
Your SST from the I.T. Department must assess all computers and related devices before it gets sent to the Electronic Repair Centre.
Who do we call if we have issues with our gym sound system, scoreboard, stage-lights/curtains or gym screen?
Email Dwayne Teskey and he will assign a technician to go to your school.
We can also work with you to update any of the above listed items in your gym and stage areas.
Media Production/AV Support:
We house a full-service audio visual department for large Board events or small meetings.
Courier:
When does the courier come to our school?
All schools and sites get delivery services twice weekly. Ensure the items that you need picked up are out the night before as the courier starts at 6:00 a.m.
Refer to the delivery calendar in your school's office or see the courier section on this site.
What can we put in the courier if I want to send something to another school?
You can only send items that are for Board use, not for private use for the Buy, Sell or Trade section on Edsby.
Education Resource Center:
How do I order extra textbooks for my class?
Your school administrator must send a Core Resource form on your behalf if you require extra textbooks or teacher manuals.
Please forward any extra textbooks back to the Resource Centre.
Do you repair textbooks?
Yes, we can recover any textbook and clean the edges to make them look almost new.
I am a new teacher, how do I order a math kit for my grade level?
Please email Dwayne Teskey and a math kit will be sent to your school.
Booking Resources/Medianet?
How do I get an account?
Email Dwayne Teskey and be sure to include your employee number and location.
What happens if you're items are late?
If your items have not been returned to the Kit Centre on or before your return date your account will be suspended. During this time you will not be able to book new resources, receive existing orders, or have access to the Digital Library.
How do I extend a booking?
Here are steps to extending a resource in Medianet:
1) Login to Medianet Account
2) Click the ”Options Menu" tab
3) Under “Update”, select “Extend / Renew”
4) Under the heading “New Return”, use the drop down arrows to select new date
5) Click “submit”
NOTE: Resources cannot be extended if they are already late. Contact Sara Weaver for assistance for extending late resources. There are also handy tutorials to help maximize your Medianet experience.

The night before they are due. Delivery calendars are usually posted in your school office, or you can download one on this site from the forms page. See the attachment at the top of this page for your school's delivery days.
