The Greater Essex County District School Board is changing the start date for Kindergarten in September 2024.
All students, including JK and SK students, will now begin the school year on Tuesday, September 3rd. In previous years Kindergarten students began classes on Monday of the following week.
Being able to take part in all 194 instructional days and immediately become full members of a school community are advantages for kindergarten students. Families, especially those with multiple students in different grades, will also benefit from this change.
