The extra-curricular athletic activities provided by our schools complement and enhance our academic program, so that all students can enjoy a well-rounded educational experience.

Greater Essex County Elementary Athletic Association (GECEAA)
Our elementary students play organized sports within schools and school divisions through the Greater Essex County Elementary Athletic Association (GECEAA). These sports include cross country, track and field, soccer, volleyball and basketball.
The GECEAA's Constitution outlines the association's membership, purpose, board responsibilities, by-laws and more that govern inter-school sports.
Statement of Philosophy
- The association recognizes that the development of our students encompasses physical, social, mental-emotional and intellectual factors. All students should have regular access to healthy physical activity.
- All schools operate their athletic programs in a positive manner and as a part of sound physical education and intramural program.
- The emphasis shall be on participation for as many students as possible. It is expected that students who are on a team shall play in some game situations.
- The association supports the concepts of gender equity in coaching.
Windsor and Essex County Secondary Schools Athletic Association (WECSSA)
Our secondary students play organized, inter-school sports within the Windsor and Essex County Secondary Schools Athletic Association (WECSSA). These sports include baseball, basketball, badminton, curling, football, golf, gymnastics, hockey, soccer, slo-pitch, swimming, tennis, track and field, volleyball and wrestling.
