What is OYAP?
The Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP) is a school-to-work transition program that allows students to experience work in the skilled trades while earning cooperative education credits.
Who can participate?
OYAP program is available to all students in grade 11 or 12 working towards their OSSD.
Students must be at least 15 years old and have successfully completed a minimum of 14 credits towards their OSSD.
How to apply
To apply for OYAP, students must be in a Cooperative Education course. The co-op teacher in collaboration with the student and parents will complete OYAP requirements.
