Black Canadian programs

EcoSchools
The GECDSB is committed to environmental conservation and stewardship. Through the EcoSchools program, we encourage individual schools to take steps to reduce waste, conserve energy and find ways to add greenspace to your school property.

Enhanced learning programs

Experiential learning
We offer experiential learning opportunities for students in Kindergarten to Grade 12. Through experiential learning, students will apply and expand upon their classroom learning with experiences outside the classroom.
French as a second language
At GECDSB, we offer French as a second language and French immersion programs to students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. This is a great opportunity for your child to learn the French language in the classroom.
Indigenous education
We offer a variety of indigenous education programs, including indigenous language, to educate students about Indigenous cultures and experiences. We also offer a variety of supports to First Nations, Metis and Inuit students.
International Baccalaureate Programme
Learn about the International Baccalaureate Programme offered through GECDSDB. This program helps expand critical thinking and prepares students for post-secondary education.
International Languages Program
The Greater Essex County District School Board is pleased to offer our International Languages program. This program is available to students in Grades 1-8 from across Windsor and Essex County.
