What is Dual Credit?
The Dual Credit Program offers students of the Greater Essex County District School Board (GECDSB) the opportunity to transition smoothly from secondary school to college and apprenticeship programs.
How to apply
Students can fill out an application for the dual credit program from the secondary school guidance counsellor.

What is the Dual Credit Program?
The Dual Credit Program allows secondary students to:
- Earn a secondary school elective credit and college credit by taking a course at St. Clair College
- Dual credit courses are available in the fall and winter semesters
- Level 1 apprenticeship program available in the spring
- Courses are free of charge
Benefits of the Dual Credit Program
The Dual Credit Program offers students the ability to:
- Earn high school elective credits to complete their Ontario Secondary School Diploma
- Customize their learning environment by studying at St. Clair College in a college course
- Start apprenticeship training
- Gain experience to transition into a college or apprenticeship program
- Get a head start on learning and training for their future careers
