The Student of the Month for April is Adam McCormick, a Grade 11 student at North Star High School who is an outstanding role model for the theme of “Citizenship”.
Adam demonstrates exceptional citizenship through his generosity, dedication and commitment to his community. He is a dedicated Trooper with the 202 Fort Malden Windsor Regiment Army Cadet Corps, where he participates in a variety of training activities, engages in learning and develops valuable skills. He volunteers with his Corps during "tag days," giving his time to support the cadets program which provides leadership and citizenship training to youth in the Amherstburg community.
This past winter, Adam took it upon himself to clear driveways for donations, raising over $400 which he donated to the Amherstburg Food & Fellowship Mission. Adam’s willingness to help those in need demonstrates his initiative, strong work ethic, empathy and dedication to his community. His sense of citizenship drives him to make a difference through volunteering and supporting those in need.
Adam continuously looks for ways to give back to his community, such as donating toys to the local legion. His commitment to service reflects his leadership, teamwork, and discipline, all of which are essential qualities of a good citizen.
Adam’s sense of citizenship inspires those around him, demonstrating that small, consistent actions have a meaningful impact on the community.
Congratulations Adam for being selected by Student Senate for the Student of the Month for the April for the theme of “Citizenship”!
