This week, we are going to celebrate what makes the Greater Essex County District School Board great.
Employee Appreciation Week is an opportunity to salute one another for everything we do to help young people succeed. Everyone has an important role to play, and education is the most honourable occupation; all of us should be proud of and fulfilled by our choice of careers. Of course, our jobs are not without difficulties and disappointments. We are always adapting and overcoming the obstacles we so often face. That is why I am so proud and appreciative of our staff. For that, you have my eternal gratitude and respect.
During the week you will be learning about 10 of your colleagues who will be receiving special commendations for Outstanding Service. What they have done to earn this recognition is just an illustration of the amazing contributions you make every day.
