The Student of the Month for February is Addison Poloni, a Grade 9 student at Essex District High School, an excellent role model for this month’s theme of “kindness”.
Addison demonstrates kindness in many different ways. She shows genuine interest when she talks to you, and she showers you with compliments.
She is friendly, thoughtful, helpful, considerate and generous. For Addison it goes above and beyond getting along well with her peers or holding doors for classmates. She performs acts of kindness without being asked to or expecting anything in return. This shows that she truly cares about the people around her and wants them to be happy. Addison demonstrates kindness daily.
Addison’s upbeat attitude and joyful personality make her an enjoyable person to be around and a pleasure to talk to. Supportive of her peers, she encourages them to be the best version of themselves. She is positive and empathetic. Addison knows how to cheer someone up when they’re down and pick them up when they fall. She never judges others when they are in a tough situation, instead, choosing to help with a solution. Quite simply, Addison consistently treats everyone with kindness and respect no matter their circumstances.
Congratulations Addison for being selected by Student Senate as the February Student of the Month!
