2022-2026 Multi-Year Accessibility Plan
This plan describes how GECDSB will meet the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), the Standards for Customer Service and the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation.
Our objectives
Our objectives within the Multi-Year Accessibility Plan will be to define:
- Process by which we will identify, remove and prevent barriers
- Our recent efforts to remove and prevent barriers
- Measures we will take in the five-year cycle to identify, remove and prevent barriers
- Our commitment to provide an annual status report on the plan implementation
- Our commitment to review and update the plan at least once every five years
- How we will make the plan available to the public

Review and monitoring
To review and monitor the plan's progress, the Accessibility Planning Committee will:
- Meet to review and evaluate the effectiveness of the barrier removal and protection strategies twice a year
- Prepare an annual accessibility status report to document the process
- Review and update the Multi-Year Accessibility Plan every five years
