Kim McKinley is a Trustee at the Greater Essex County District School Board (GECDSB), representing the Windsor Wards 1, 2 and 9.

Kim McKinley strongly supports academic achievement and well-being for all students and she actively advocates for the school communities she represents.
Her passion for education ignited long before she was first elected to the board in 2006. She received a Champions for Education Award from the GECDSB for her exceptional volunteer service at Oakwood P.S. and Massey S.S. Kim was also recognized with the United Way/Windsor Star’s, “Light the Way—City” award for many years of volunteerism and leadership in the community.
She served as a GECDSB trustee 2006-18 holding numerous positions of responsibility including 2 years as Chair of the Board.
Kim and her husband have 2 adult children. She loves watching sports events, most especially tennis and curling.
